TA-1 – Tactical Engagement Driving

This course covers the core dynamic elements of tactical engagement in hot zones, car control, accident avoidance, driving focus and precision driving.  The modules of the course are strategically progressive with progressive speeds throughout the day to make sure nothing is missed.   Over 70% of the course is done “on track” so each driver experiences every technique first hand, behind the wheel.

• Maintaining control of vehicle with extreme driving surface changes (dirt or shoulder driving)
  
• High Speed Emergency Braking/Panic Stop
  
• Accident Avoidance and Over-reaction Avoidance (target fixation)
  
• Reverse Driving (Precision and High Speed)
  
• Forward and Reverse 180 degree J-turns
  
• PIT maneuver and Push-Out techniques
• Taking control of vehicle from passenger seat (disabled driver)
